How gullible you people are. When you see a web site offering software in a snake-oil sales approach, no mention of price, and no definite declaration that the software is free, shouldn't you be cautious? And about the credit cards, ha! Give your card number to a site offering free software? Note there's no contact address, no screen shots, no forum, and no references. And when you see reviews without a way to submit your own, you just know all the reviews were written by that company. Free software exists, and some good software too... just use google to search for it. But if it's free, check out if there's a professional version, and if so what the differences are and what the price is. If not, is it open source? Why is it free, if they don't answer that, forget it.

BlueVoda include common features missing in FrontPage such as tabs and menus of different kinds. Also, it's a graphical page, meaning you put anything anywhere (you can lock it if you want). If you are familiar with PageMaker, this will ring a bell. The only thing I did not like is that you cannot display a web site folder list the way you do in Front Page, which is a shame. So it is basically a one page at a time kind of program. It's a page editor, not a site composing program like Front Page, but then again, you can compose pages with BlueVoda, save them as html pages and open them in FrontPage for whatever else you want to do in a site.

Just some observations and comments, hope it helps. Free webpage editor: FirstPage (not WYSIWYG, but a little easier than notepad). For WYSIWYG try Coffee Cup software, not free but cheaper than most I've seen. Free FTP: Filezilla Personnal Notes & Comments: 1- If your going to do webpages for a living you really should at least have a rudimentary knowledge of HTML. HTML/CSS really isnt that hard. 2- I do all my pages with Notepad and upload with Filezilla (ref.: www.ravensroost55.org or hocgc.com ). I only do simple sites not those large database types. 3- Caution: Own your own domain name! Watch out for hosting offering free domain names; you only own the name as long as you host there. 4- If your images are not showing on your pages: check image file location and SPELLing. When dealing with web servers you are pretty much in the Unix world; Capitals matter for folder and file/image names. If your image name is on the server as "HEADer1.gif", "header1.gif" will not work. What fools you is that when testing on your home computer it does work.

To my comment earlier: Praises about BlueVoda seem to have been written by people of BlueVoda themselves. (my personal view)

Reviews praising Blue Voda is written by people of Blue Voda themselves. I fell for it too. Will be more careful next tme. Would have been useful had I read the comments about BlueVoda earlier.

Saw a charge on my credit card for Affillisys with a phone number .... did not recognize the name so tried to cal the number .... after several failures and being told the number was not operable .... contacted my credit card people to ask who they were .... they did not know but started the process to chargeback ..... the response came from BlueVoda with a new phone number 1-877-855-1769 and a name (Tom Crouch) ... now I get an enlgish sounding voice that says please wait while I dial your number for you .... and then I get the same voice saying your call can not be completed ..... I have no complaint with the service ..... but do have a complaint in the idea that I can not get an answer from the number on my credit card bill or from the one they sent in their response to my credit card company.

Thanks god I made my research I apprciatte every exploring the down side of it save the headach and the money

I have been using Blue Voda for about 6 months, and I have nothing but good to say about them. In the past I used a hosting co. that cost me almost $100. a month without any web building support, or customer support. I would assume that when. a Co. offers a web building pkg. they are going to get tons of questions. I would think this might make any person a little edgey by the end of the day. Lets face it, when we're frustrated to the point of pulling our hair out, its not likely were that friendly with the support staff. Yes customer service is the most important aspect when you are in business,but come on they offer a great product at a very reasonable price, so lets cut them a little slack. I know that sometimes I have been so tired when working on my site that I have contacted them with really stupid questions, but they have never once been rude.

I TRIED OTHER WEB COMPANIES AND FOUND THEM TOO COMPLICATED TO USE.THEN I tried Blue voda and found it quite easy to use and user friendly.Even though I am not a computer expert,now I have several websites all made using blue voda and the great thing is they do not charge you extra to host more websites.So I just keep adding more and websites for the same web hosting fee with no extra charge.The websites that I have built using blue voda are www.tourist-rooms.com and www.sweet-pretty-girls.com and www.pretty-boys.biz and www.science-fun.net and I will be adding more and more websites because I found it great value for money and web hosting for additional websites is free.I am also happy that there has been very little technical problems and my websites are up almost 100 % of the time.In the rare cases where there are problems,they have helped me to resolve the problems.I strongly recommend blue voda especially for those who have never built a website before.I speak as one who is a very satisfied and happy customer of blue voda.I find mot of the negative comments here completely ridiculous and unbelievable considering my own experience as a customer of blue voda.Thank you blue voda for the great service and value for money website builder and web hosting.It would be a great injustice if I do not speak up for a great company which has not disappointed me.
