IT'S GREAT QUALITY FOR SMALL PRICE!
all negative people on this site:
you are just sad sad SAD!
Been using BV for 2 years now. no problems, ok, so no phone to contact, but when i submit a query, i get a reply within 48h in most cases. if i'm still not sure i reply and receive an answer within 48h.
why do you all expect everytning free??? did you go to computer store and asked for a free PC?
what's free in this world is not much you end up paying one way or another.
BV is not free for hosting, but it's definitely cheap and offers A LOT!!! for that money and it's good quality.
But if you morons are so clever, why don't you show us same quality as BV for free? And don't forget to include that free hosting!
Yeah, good luck.

Pros N Cons
Pro: I'' like the the software. It reminds me of Indesign to some level. The fact that you can paste text and images anywhere without thinking about HTML basics is great. It has a lot of easy to follow Properties for each object to play around with.
Cons: Now I can deal with the tickets, the forums and e-mails. My biggest pet peeve is gathering my site from my remote server to my local computer. Homestead.com has a syncing system that as you if you want to download from remote location. that feature was super. why can''t Voda Host do the same thing?
My friend and I are trying to build a site together from 2 different locations. We are both using Dreamweaver CS4, but really I can''t stand using it. everytime I try to place something anywhere on the page, in preview, the object is moved someplace i don''t want it to be. Bluevoda takes care of that problem with just a few clicks. Yeah I know, learn to use Dreamweaver, whatever. to do something in Dreamweaver is like doing 4 to 5 extra steps each where as Bluevoda does it in less then 4. if Voda host can fix that "syncing" from remote I wouldn''t need Dreamweaver at all to sync and see all the nasty @$$ extra boxes around an object.

Pay a little and get Blue Voda, sorry to all the guys complaining but you did not read what it said.
Cheers all, a very happy Blue Voda customer

How to save Blue voda files
Well I use Net objects Fusion to buils websites.. they have a free version, but its not as easy to use as Blue voda.
I have never registered with BV, but use their Program to make simple sites.. you can save your sire and upload it to ANY where you want, not limited to BV sites.
HOW.. easy.. when you do a Preview of your site in BV.. all is saved in the PREVIEW Folder usually here..C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\preview
Just change the name of Preview.html to Index html to allow this page to operate as home page on your website. If you have multiple webpages, you wwill have to manually name and link to them from any other ebage you build.. this can be a hassle. Bv is good for some grafix FX and builds a good 1 page site.. see www.asiapowerturbine.com as an example.
have fun.. but dont buy it..

so la la
i have no problems with their hosting. the server was down two or three times. i did not know why. no mention in their twitter site. i was disapointed. but a minor issue since april in these five month.
on the other hand the webpage creator is a good tool for beginners. soon you will discover the limits of this software. you will need a professional one to get a very professional apearance for your website. that means soon you will be prepared to spend some money for a better software. but this software is good enough to get a basic good web apearance.
i needed filezilla to get a better services regarding uploading and managing my files on the host server. but filezilla is free and no harm for me i had to spend no extra money.
the only problem i have with bluevoda now is: i have to spend some money for a professional software to create a better webpage(s).
but i can see no scam with this company. and the easy software and their tutorials helped me to get introduced in this webpage / host thing. i would liked if i had the oportunity to have a second or third domain without paying additional. they give you unlimited subdomains, they could do the same with the domain issue.
some yes some no and it is not expensive. i wished they would provide some ssl for free. you have to pay extra for that. summa sumarum so la la.

I tryed to make contact ...but no reply .. their software blue voda website builder is fall of bugs .... it saves itelf into another file type that windows cant open .. if you do open it its all in some bullshit txt not html ..... if u use the back door method and copy the html code and paste it in notepad and save as a html file website can be seen on IE5 or higher but images are missing as blue voda has not writen them into the code but changed some of them .... easy to use ..bullshit ... you need to be a professional webmaster and be at least to write some html or minimum be able to read it to use this program .. it is only set up to work with their own hosting services ... what if u already have a webhost .. suks bullhit ... dont touch it ... try netscape composer or Komposer , they also have some bug but at least they will work ...... all be it you need some training to be able to build a site .... blue voda say u can build one in 30 minutes ..bullshit .....any way dont touch them ... their computer system keeps sending out bullshit e-mails ...like a virus ... anyway after 2 days ..bluevoda failed to work on vista .... and then had problems removing it ... it had taken over the registry and corrupted half the registry with its bullshit ... i had to instal an old backup to recover my lapatop ..... so blue voda is shit ...... and I dont work for any rival webhost either ......

Unethical Business
Blue Voda does not do business ethically. They market their product with free website builder and provide you the software. After hours of hard work, its time to publish your site, you get to know that you are taken for a toss. Bluevoda is the only option to host the site and they are expensive compared to other host.
Even you consider them to host, the customer service sucks and the software has not been upgraded for ages. People, if you are not sure what you are doing unless you are an expert. Don''t use BlueVoda.

Very satisfied with BlueVoda Hosting, software and support.
I have created and published 3 web sites using the Bluevoda software and had one up for more than a year. The software is free as advertised and I didn''t find any hidden cost as noted by some of the other reviews. I have only had to submit two support ticket to them and that was to increase my renewal from 1 year to their 3 year plan. Before signing up I submitted a ticket to have someone call so I could ask some question before signing up with them. I received a personal call in a very timely fashion and all my questions were answered.
Is it possible that some of you that are blasting their software, support, and have not been able to publish you sites to your satisfaction have no clue as to what you are doing and should possibly be paying someone to design and publish a WEB Site for you?
Thoughts from a very satisfied customers after reading some of the comments here!!!

Thankyou
Thank you everyone. Almost fell for it. You know what they say....if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Try this one...
I also spent valuable time learning how to use the "free" software only to find out that you have to host through them. I am very new and trying to build my first web site and it has been a struggle just trying to learn what I need to do. I did some research and found a very very easy and free (for real, free) software download from personalwebkit.com. It is an older version but it is super easy (and free) and took about half an hour to get through the tutorials. If customer service is highly valuable to you, it is not offered with the free version (the contact page says that the customer service is not for users of the free version). But for being free it is easy. I am glad to have done a bit of research tonight; I had my credit card and was ready to dive into bluevoda since i had already learned the program. But the personal web kit is even simpler, perfect for beginners.

DELIBERATELY MISLEADING
I downloaded the software a few days ago - and its the best and easiest to use website builder i''ve seen. The tutorial videos are pretty good and the forum they use is a source for almost any question you have relating to the software.
I already have a hosting company for around the same price as Blue Voda was offering, but didn''t like their primitive builder, so i was looking for any alternative downloads, which is how i came across it.
I didn''t give any credit card details etc to download it, just an e-mail address, that was it.
THE ONLY PROBLEM with the software is that (as outlined below) it is only compatible with their own hosting service. THIS IS NOT MADE CLEAR prior to download. It''s true that the FTP feature on the programme itself only supports Vodahost, and this is explained in the tutorial. However elsewhere on the site, it specifically says that if you are using another server, you will have to use an external FTP programme. It even gives you links to download them. This CLEARLY indicates that the files can be used with another server if you use an alternative method of transfer. This is not true. It still doesn''t work.
If i hadn''t already found a hosting company, i probably would have signed up with them. The prices seemed pretty good, the builder is excellent and the services seemed to be expansive. However, i can fully understand why people are annoyed. The builder free download is blatantly misleading and is annoying that after all that work, it''s wasted time. Of course this can be got around and the files can be converted, but your average novice (surely who the software is aimed at) will not know this.
It would be far more professional of them to offer the site builder as a stand-alone chargeable download, without them blocking them from use with other servers. I would certainly have paid a once-off fee of $30-$40 for the program. They are only shooting themselves in the foot by not doing this, obviously trying to force people into using their hosting company after putting in all that work on the site.
I can''t comment on their customer service, as i never really had any dealings with them.

bluevoda is not a scam
Ok People are seriously dumb! BV works so that you can have a free web-design tool for no cost so you host with them, which isnt that bad because they charge about the same as most hosting services. And if you really just want a free web-editing tool download one from somewhere else, like NVU or something. Although most free ones are harder to use unlike BV which is set up just like word or another similar program. I am really satisfied with the software and if i dont choose to use their hosting i can just preview it and save it as a complete web file. People, if you have enough time to bitch and cry about how bad this is you should have had the time to figure out this loophole by now. Anyway BV is great and i suggest trying others out too so you can see the difference, bv is great and has my website coming soon.

Not bad if....
I was definitely nervous about using this program after seeing all these reviews. I still downloaded it anyway. It is EXTREMELY SIMPLE to use. Te best part is that you can view the page HTML from what you designed. I simply took that and pasted it into the code section on dreamweaver and I have a page! You have to double click the images and assign them to the pics. Pretty much a life saver though!! And it''s 100% free like that. (trial version of dreamweaver)
