Sountaxi once purchased crashes computer
I have had the same blue screen consistently. Trial download of Soundtaxi works fine, but as soon as I enter the licence code (once purchased) it crashes to the blue screen. I haven't yet checked drivers, will do immediately.

Jury Still Out
Only just discovered that it's Soundtaxi that is causing SYSTEM to be at 100% in Windows Task Manager. Works ok but not that fast. It's slowing the system down and I can't see in Security Task Manager or Windows Task Manager what is causing SYSTEM to be maxed out.

SoundTaxi worked well
Bought license for full version - worked very well. Batch converted a few thousand tracks overnight with no glitches.

Bad installation for Sound Taxi
Now that I have seen all the problems, I no longer feel alone. I would not properly install, it booted automatically, and upon repeating boots Windows (XP) was unable to find that sound driver, even though I kept pointing it out.
A far less than professional install. Never did get it running.

Sound Taxi
Drivers from Hell
SndTDriverV32
These drivers are from SoundTaxi Trial download
1. There is no uninstall with this program
2. The program does not appear in add/remove programs so can not be uninstalled from there
3. Even on installing the program it places unknown devices in hardware profile which have do be deabled.
4. the program does not work and only give 30 seconds of decoding if it does.

50/50
I tried to install this on my AMD 64bit laptop, it gave me the bluescreen during setup, refused to install full stop.
It works fine on my home PC and work PC - but at work it does tend to slow things up sometimes end process is needed!
When it does work, its excellent! If they want to start getting good reviews, they need to stabalize this software much more.

I like it
I ventured to try and I was fully satisfied. I had no problems with trial , so I 've purchased it. Still no problems. My friend had some questions about speed and told that support was very good too.

BEWARE: Do NOT Install
Just attempting to install the SoundTaxi software to try it out bluescreen crashed my system and trashed all sound & ide drivers. I have a brand new high-end system running flawlessly on WinXP SP2 and it took lot of time to repair my system. They must have only tested this program on one machine before going to market with it.... very poor.

driver issues
I also had drivers issues on 2 out of 3 of my machines. 1 machine was able to install and works perfectly. 2 other machines crashed during install (which i assume is driver related) and of those 2, 1 was able to be restored, the other is still broken even after driver reinstallation. System restore didn't work for them either.
The safest thing would be to either setup a Vitual Machine, or take a snapshot image of your machine before you install.
If it works on your drivers, goody for you, else you willl have to restore your machine..
Of course don't buy it until you figure out if it works for you.
They really need to fix this shit.
