ABSOLUTELY agree with Marjie
I wish I found her comment before I bought it. Do NOT in any circumstances waste your money on this product. What good is a half converted file? Their customer support was attentive for all of about 2 emails - then nothing. Don't buy it, don't waste your time. If you can find it on a warez site it might be worth your time. I will be trying to get a charge back on my credit card for this complete waste of time (and be careful about the "positive feedback" you read about it, I have a feeling that those comments are simply planted by the company)...

SoundTaxi, DRMRemoval
Purchased under any of the names you might find this software would be wonderful if it did what it advertises! Do not buy this software. It is marketed under at least two names I have found. I get only partial conversions when attempting to convert audio books. I lose about 45 minutes on the average. Their support is non-responsive. When I asked for a refund it was denied.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
NEW COMPLAINT PENDING with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU It does NOT work for everyone and that is just "your problem" -- they will not issue a refund. My plans include pursuing the complaint with the better business bureau and disputing the charges via my credit card company. BE SMARTER THAN ME -- DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF!!!

Disputing their refusal of a refund
This product did NOT work for me. My dialogues with them to get a refund, regardless of the fact it is not working were "not eligible for a refund." I will be taking action against them. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE. It does not work for everyone regardless of what they say -- and they WILL NOT issue refunds. Instead, you will have frustrating dialogues with "sort of" english speaking people and ultimately be ripped off

Do not re-install after initial 1st installation.
Pro: I purchased this software and worked like a champ for a few months. Con: After kids installed some kiddy games and programs on this pc the system resources were brought to almost a standstill. Doing a 'system restore' caused me to reinstall soundtaxi. (after uninstalling) Once it was reinstalled with the 1st activation code and 2nd (online) activation code it no longer works. Other: Initially I tried to install soundtaxi on a XP Pro 64bit machine. Soundtaxi will not run on any 64bit OS. Vista or XP. would be interested to know if anybody knows of a drm program that will work on 64bit OS

Horrible support
I think Sound Taxi support is the horrible. When I purchased two copies of WMAConvert, they only sent me one licence code and nobody answered my request for the second licence code. They are unwilling to respond to my emails. I'm sending them an email everyday and will keep everyone aware of what happens next. DO NOT purchase the licence code from them. Even if the software works, the support is so terriable that it is not worth it.

BTW
Oh yeah, I think the silence is going to be there no matter what. But come on, you get the track don't you? Hey, if the program crashes you system, by all means get rid of it. But if you get a converted track, its doing it job. The silence is noticable at first, but after a while, you don't even notice the silence is there.

Worth It for Me
I had the ST Pro for several months now, and I got my $ worth after a week. My computer is good on RAM and proc. power, so I think that helps. The main thing is to not run processor intensive programs when using ST. That is when you get hiccups and crashes. I can listen to music on WMP and surf the Web. That is the most I'll do while converting. The longer the track, the less # of tracks you should select at once. For standard 3-4 min tracks, I do 1 CD at a time (12-18 tracks), and it converts 5-7 simultaneously. When the last track is converting, I select the next one, and so on. Do not load your entire library at once. Yes, I do get the 60 sec. error every now and then, a crash report prints here and there, but I go through 30-100 tracks before that happens. Sound quality is solid. There are millisecond skips every 60th track, but 99.5% of all tracks are nice. I've learned how to minimize the hiccups through use. The most I have had to do is restart after a "not responding". Then, I restart, open it up and go through a couple more CDs. Just take it easy and go steady with the conversions. As far as the 4 seconds of blank time (2 on begin. and 2 on the end), well, biatchin' about that is just straight up picky. For me, I've learned how to work the program and it works for me. I've tripled my collection, so far. WELL worth the money. The support is limited, but if I open it tomorrow and it doesn't work and I have to get rid of it, I will still be satisfied.

Support from Sound Taxi
I think Sound Taxi support is the horrible. When I purchased Sound Taxi, I purchased the Extended Download Service expecting that I might need to download the application again one day in the future. It has been 6 months and I had to reformat my hard drive. They are unwilling to respond to my emails. I'm going to send them an email everyday and will keep everyone aware of what happens next.

3-5 seconds of silence?
So far I have not been able to convert songs the way I want them converted because soundtaxi adds 3-5 seconds of silence to the beginning of each song! It's driving me insane! I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program, as well as making sure every other program is shut off. I even killed some unnecessary processes in the task manager and shut down my internet access to I could stop my on-access scanning from my anti-virus, as well as shutting off windows defender and a whole mess of other stuff. No matter what I do, I still get that lead silence at the beginning of each song. There seem to be no other problems, I even got an email back from support (it took 3 days) but they didn't give me any help other than "reinstall the program and make sure no other programs are running." Which I already knew. Anyone else experiencing this?

Don't buy it.
I, like others, wish I had found this page first. So far, ST has crashed my Vista computer. It required multiple reinstalls and has destroyed my integrated sound care. I never did get a clear sounding file from the DRM conversion. I would not recommend it.

Sound Taxi
Does anyone have a solution to the R&R Installer error box popping up after converting about 25-30 songs each time? Keep having to re-start pc to continue each time.
