Answersthatwork-Ultimate Troubleshooter
Don't bother : there is no longer any support and renewal is not available, though interestingly eSellerate will take money for it....

one problem
after I down loaded and installed the program I could no longer get into several web sights without them freezing. I then looked for a way to uninstall the program but there wasn't an uninstall.

I'm not ready to purchase this utility
I downloaded a trial of The Ultimate Troubleshooter 3.30 and it looked like an interesting program but several of the red-starred processes that it detected were legitimate and necessary applicatons that I must have running.
Because it's a trial program, the comments about these red-starred items cannt be revealed without first purchasing the software. I believe the very short trial basis, which is limited to 5 times, should not be so crippled as to prevent explanations of why processes are being red-starred.
I also object to having to use the uninstall file in the installation folder to remove the application. I did not see any reference to the program name nor the supplier, "Answers that Work" in Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs.
Because there are other programs, some free, that will have the same or similar capabilities as this application, I have decided not to purchase it until I can use it on a trial basis with no features disabled.

Excellent tool written for non-geeks
What I love about the tool is that it is written for other earthlings to understand and not just the alien/geek crowd! This demystifies the whole Task Manager bowl of alphabet soup with great suggestions. I also love the feature that emails TUT when it doesn't recognize something in the task list or start up menu and then they research the program.
The only con is that I have had were some performance stumbles when I pulled the plug on a couple of things that I shouldn't have, but that is a small price to pay for the significant performance increase that I have experienced on my desktop. I am about to try it out on my Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop.
