Good thing I checked this REG-TOOL out first. Seemed too good to be true. I recently installed PC Tools Spyware Doctor and yep it blocked REG-TOOL.
Always helps to check before you install, even if it sounds, looks legit.

I'm sorry, but your an idiot. If you had good virus protection to begin with, you wouldn't have had this problem. If your running Norton or any form of McAfee on your computer, get rid of it! Good virus protection would have stopped any downloads with host changes. If your using any free version of virus software your also an idiot. Spybot is bullshit and so is avast. If you really want good virus protection you need to stick with either, AVG Paid, Kaspersky (Nod32 or Viper - if you can afford it) anything else is pretty much b.s. I'm so sick of coming across these forums with people that think that windows defender or Norton is going to protect them from everything on the internet. Even AVG free is better than some of the crap virus software out there. Then again, if your not smart enough to protect a $700 - $1200 investment, by all means, download until your heart is content ;)

Curse this horrible virus infected software
I made the mistake of installing this, and can't uninfect my PC. I've run spybot, ad-aware, avast, reset my hosts file - can't get rid of it! - I get guitar ads on firefox and IE. AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGG!!!

How do i remove the spyware
I downloaded this software and thought it was cool, until i noticed the ads in IE. I uninstalled it but THE ADS ARE STILL THERE. PLEASE someone tell me how to get rid of the, spybot sd didnt find anything.

Watch out - attempts to hijack your hosts file
Stopped the installation as soon as I noticed that it was attempting to change the hosts file. There is no good reason for legitimate software to change the hosts file - it is an obvious attempt to hijack your web browser and potentially other internet applications.
Having seen that I can believe what others say here about other malware in this application. I would recommend against trying it.

Insidious adware/malware inside.
Looked interesting until I noticed its extremely ugly & unscrupulous adware tactics that hijacked my host file & god knows what else.
Threw it out. Never again. Totally NOT recommended. Stay away.

Just tried it, and I don't like the deceit
I read the licence.txt file, and it didn't say a thing about adware, but it installed it anyway. Total disgrace to do this to prospective customers. I am going to try www.guitar-fxbox.com instead, and hope that it is what it says it is.

Not a good way to sell shareware
I don't know what a$$hole wrote this but installing adware is NOT a good way to get people to register your software. The software actually looked pretty interesting until I saw these huge obnoxious music ads on every site I went to. They weren't even normal banner size... they were HUGE! At first I thought it was Google Ads getting more aggressive until I pointed on one of the links and saw guitarfx in the URL. I then did a Google search and found this site. After uninstalling it, the obnoxious ads are gone. GOOD RIDDANCE! Forget this piece of crap... it's no good!
