Led to believe this would record anything coming from my sound card. Yeah, right. It skips something terrible and like the person below said; script errors.

FREE Hi-Q Recorder 1.9
Excellent little program! Even the freeware version will have enough options for over 90% of the users.
To be honest, I can't really imagine of how a program to record MP3s can be much more simple, and still have all necessary options including adding a number or time to the recording name etc. It is very straight forward and simple to use and explain to others how it works.
