We built a pretty extensive trading site using Esvon Classifieds as the base code. The built-in features saved us a lot of time. We did purchase the source code - something you''''ll want to do if you plan to do a lot of customization. We found the code well written and easy to work with. Esvon support is responsive, Vlad typically gets back to us within the day.
The one downside is the lack of documentation. Most of the features are self-explanatory and the UI is intuitive. But they could do a little bit more to help people come up to speed on the admin features.
