Very Good Utility
DeskTools is a nice application which allows you mess with your desktop by changing the active windows' properties. This means that you can hide windows, set them to stay always on top, minimize them to tray, close them or make them translucent.
The program allows you set shortcut keys for any of the above mentioned actions, so that you can quickly hide active windows from curious eyes. After hiding a window, it cannot be found in the system tray nor the taskbar and you won't find it not even when using the "Alt+Tab" key combination.
Pluses: You can set criteria for hiding windows and you can set a password to enforce the security of your actions. Without knowing the password, no one will be able to tell what programs are running on your machine.
Drawbacks / flaws: If you set large applications such as MS Office components or Adobe Photoshop to be translucent, the speed of your machine will slow down dramatically, resulting even in system crashes, depending on your system's resources.
In conclusion: A simple and nice, yet useful tool for hiding/unhiding running programs, for setting accessories such as "Calculator" to run always on top, and to give a fashionable note to your desktop.
