Audio out of Sync
Looked like great software, bought it, used the AVS video converter to convert .ogm to .avi and got a file that has lagging audio. The quality is very good, but I could not find a way to match the framerates and sample rates to the original file. There''s some options to choose from, but they don''t match the source. I''m not convinced that is the problem though because when I run the source file in the AVS video editor it also plays with the same audio lag as the converted file. Maybe a system compatibility issue?

Lies
Beware the opinions of those stating that AVS is worthwhile. It is not. It states conversion that will never work due to DRM or protected files. Even though the types are listed the converter will not. There are so many other viable converters. I have their whole suit now and NONE of the converters work but the ENcoders do. So if you need to MAKE a file that is copy protected - have fun. Why?

AUDIO SYNC ISSUES
Everything about this product is awesome save one problem, audio video sync issues, and it completely ruins the product. If you cut a video in two, the audio from the first part of the original video will play when you start the 2nd half of the video. WTF?

AVS Video COnverter
This software is amazingly easy to use and reliable. When I think of all the effort and money I wasted before I found this program, it amazes me
Before I had a one software package to convert the media (and it wasn't very good at that), another to burn DVDs, and yet another, very expensive program to edit the media.
And maybe I have a newer version, but I have had no audio issues!
I would recommend this profuct to anyone. In fact, I already have!

AVS sound Sync
I too have found the sound leads the video by approx 2 seconds making it unusable.
The other suggestion posted where it is suggested that the sync problem only occurs if the encoded frame rate is higher is FALSE. I tried with the same frame rate and got 2 second delay.
Don't waste your money on this product.

Audio not in synch
Same problem here: audio not in synch and the framerate has been set to "orignal".
Still out of sync, stay away !

Audio sync issue
I converted DVR-ms to mpeg and suffered about 3 second or more delay in audio and I was converting at a lower frame rate ie 29.7 to 25, so that doesn't help - useless!

AVS Audio Issue
I too have audio sync problems with this product. If they could get this fixed it would be the best conversion tool I've come across. I'm converting from DVR-MS to AVI using the supplied DivX 5.0.5 codec. The original file works fine but my media player does not support DVR-MS. After the conversion the audio is about a full 1-2 seconds out of sync. Glad I learned this in the trial version and didn't pay the money. Oh, I too contacted technical support with a "pre-purchase" question to see it it supported hard coding subtitles into AVI's and its been a week since I sent the question in...never heard back on that.
So...they need to fix the audio sync problem and fire their current technical support manager/employees and hire someone more competent.

Re George's post
Hi George,
You might find that the videos you convert will go out of sync if you tell it to reencode at a higher framerate than the original file. To prevent this, try selecting a lower reencoding framerate.

Great for psp
This is a must buy. You don't have to wait for the post as you register as soon as you have downloaded and bought it. It converts all your videos, copy protected and non-copy protected to psp and the picture quality is great. You can also edit your videos and add effects such as brightness, sharpness borders etc.
The only downside is the audio may be low, however earphones can fix this and to convert a whole film takes at least 2 hours.

perfect tool
I am impressed, actually very impressed with the program capabilities. Tried quite a lot of encoders - every time the old story: conversion is heavy and time taking process. AVS Video Converter was like a breeze for me: I converted MP4 to DVD, problemlos, no jaddering on the output whatsoever. So far that's what I tried, but now want to use also DVDtoGo for transferring my videos to my Zen Creative, the list of supported handhelds amazed me too. Can't say anything about support, didn't address them. And this tool just shines in terms of dollar that matters :-)

The audio not in sync with the video. Completely unusable.
The audio in resulting files are not in sync with the video. Completely unusable. Could you watch a movie like that? Contacted support and heard nothing back. Could not get a refund either. Buy at your mercy, if you wish to throw over$40 bucks away.
